The Forêt de l'Ospedale: nature and panoramic views in the Alta Rocca
Located 15 minutes from Zonza and 30 minutes from Porto-Vecchio, the Ospedale forest (735 hectares) stretches out at an altitude of 900 metres. Once home to shepherds and travellers, it is now an ideal setting for hiking, with its pine and beech trees and signposted paths.
Along the way, it's not unusual to come across cows, pigs or mouflons roaming free. From the hamlets of Agnaroru or Cartalavonu, set off to discover wild, ever-changing landscapes. Don't miss the summit of Vacca Morta (1,314 m): its panoramic view of Corsica is well worth the diversions.
