Idea for an easy hike facing the Aiguilles de Bavella mountains

The Trou de la Bombe loop hike

Le Trou de la Bombe (Cumpuleddu in Corsican), opposite the Aiguilles de Bavella, is one of Corsica's most astonishing geological curiosities. This natural arch, carved out of the granite at an altitude of over 1,300 metres, can be reached by an easy hike from the Col de Bavella.

The 5.7km loop takes around 1? to 2 hours to complete, and is suitable for families and dogs (on leads). The trail is well signposted and largely shaded by laricio pines, making it a pleasant walk even in summer.

A simple outing, with beautiful scenery all the way, and a finish facing one of the island's most unusual rock formations!

“A very enjoyable hike that I loved when I was in the Alta Rocca. We often associate the Aiguilles de Bavella with routes reserved for the initiated, but this one is accessible to everyone and lets you enjoy equally sublime scenery.”
