On Friday 21 August, the Zonza in Festa association is launching Corsica’s very first square boules tournament: the Mondial de l’Alta Rocca – I Bucci Quatrati!
Young and old alike will gather in the narrow streets of our wonderful village to share a unique, friendly and festive occasion.
Programme for the day:
1.30 pm: registration opens (opposite the Incudine)
2.00 pm: goal kick
Around 7.30 pm: awards ceremony
ℹ️ Practical information:
Free registration on the day or via Messenger
For each match, a canvas bag containing 12 square balls (6 red and 6 blue) will be handed out to the teams.
Teams consist of 2 players (3 boules per player).
Each team must choose a team name when registering.
Each participant will be asked to show proof of identity (national identity card or driving licence).
The matches will be played to 13 points, in accordance with the rules of pétanque.
Teams knocked out in the first round will be able to continue their campaign in a consolation tournament.
