Concert by the group I CAMPAGNOLI at the church of Sainte Lucie in Porto-Vecchio
Style of music: Corsican polyphonies
I Campagnoli is one of the oldest Corsican polyphonic groups.
Its name means «Men of the Earth».
Their repertoire includes secular and sacred songs, as well as new works. They perform mainly in churches, where the power of the songs comes into its own.
The group is made up of : Guy Calvelli (vocals), Louis Crispi (vocals), Saveriu Bellini (vocals and guitar) and Isabelle Giannelli (violin). The group was born in 1989 out of the passion of a few young people from Nebbiu and Bastia for polyphonic singing. Over the decades, the group has reinvented itself, refocusing on a few singers and introducing instruments to accompany the purity of the voices. Discover with I Campagnoli the riches of a land where song is present in every act of life.
