Meeting and book signing with Vannina Marchi Van Cauwelaert and all the authors of the book Emilie Tomas, Chantal de Peretti, Dominique Martinetti and Marie-José Forconi for the book «Sur les traces de Rinuccio Della Rocca» (circa 1450-1511).
Rinuccio Della Rocca's imprint is omnipresent in the landscapes of the south of the island. Whether in the form of material traces, such as the convent of Saint-François in Sainte-Lucie de Tallano and the ruins of the Baricini castle in Sartène, or toponymic traces, such as the casteddu and the pianu d'Ornucciu in Cuscionu, his memory continues to irrigate the medieval imagination of the Rocca.
Rinuccio della Rocca is the only Corsican lord whose name has left a lasting mark on the land and landscape. This book retraces the many facets of this character and the complexity of his era, which saw the transition from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance and from a lordly Corsica to a Genoese Corsica.
